During the last few years, The Royal Kennel Club has been mindful of lower entry figures and they decided that there were too many breed clubs to allocate CC's to. They requested that clubs either amalgamate or loose their CC status for the foreseeable future.  Some of the clubs have joined together to form a new club, where they have guaranteed CC status for 10 years.
